Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal

The Montreal International Documentary Festival (Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal) was founded in 1998 by documentary filmmakers who wanted to create a forum that would promote the emergence of new points of view and the presentation of unique perspectives. Quebec’s only film festival dedicated to documentaries, RIDM presents the best reality-based films, including the works of established directors and new talents alike. Every November, RIDM screens approximately 100 domestic and foreign productions and hosts a dozen complementary activities such as workshops, master classes, debates and roundtables. The seventeenth edition of RIDM will be held from November 12th to 23th, 2014.
