Following in the footsteps of their foundress, the Sisters of Providence have left a lasting social print on our society. Devoting her life to help the needy, this remarkable woman of Montreal's history was called the Great Lady of Montreal, the Providence of the Poor, and the Angel of the Prisoners. *Providence Room Discover the history, spirituality, charism, and mission of the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence who, in the footsteps of their foundress, Émilie Gamelin, provided care for the sick, the elderly, the mentally ill, the imprisoned, the orphans, among others. * Freeing the Treasure, The Education of Deaf Girls by the Sisters of Providence Explore the fascinating and little-known world of Deaf culture.
