Building on some one hundred first-hand accounts, it showcases the unique life stories that have shaped the community that is Montréal. What is, who is Montréal? This exhibition highlights the diverse experiences that have contributed to the city’s urban fabric over time. There are as many Montréals as there are Montrealers. Through an audacious mix of viewpoints, the exhibition highlights the city’s distinctive characteristics while bringing its story to life on a human scale. DETOURS - URBAN EXPERIENCES Temporary Exhibition Co-created by the MEM and URBANIA This boldly staged experiential exhibition pulls back the curtain on an extraordinary Montréal. Through videos, Montrealers share their own wondrous worlds, often tucked away in hidden corners of the city. These intimate encounters give way to larger-than-life immersive moments. Dynamic video, sound and light projections place Montréal in the foreground. Expect to come away from Détours moved and inspired!
