House of brother Moffet

Passionate storyteller guides will welcome you to inform you of the beginning of Témiscamingue as a new land of colonization. It is thanks to the perseverance of Brother Moffet, who dares to challenge his superior, that the region is playing the bases of its agricultural vocation. We invite you to come and discover him in the house he himself built in 1881. The MFM is the oldest surviving residence in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. It received the status of historical monument in 1978. Since its opening to the public in 1980, it has charmed visitors, knowing how to renew itself while respecting its essence in the heart of its squared wood
