Historic site and guided tour

This lighthouse, at 37 meters, is the tallest in Canada. It was built there in 1858 because this sector of the Gulf of St. Lawrence was the scene of numerous shipwrecks. Now classified as a historic monument, it is considered the gateway to Forillon National Park. A virtual tour on an electronic tablet is now available for people who cannot climb into the lighthouse.
