Activities offered
Autumn Violins
Autumn Violins takes you on a great musical journey to the four corners of the world. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the violin, the traditions associated with it, the vast musical repertoire of the instrument in all styles and from all eras, as well as the talent of the artists who practice it.
Winter festival
The Winter Festival of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli is an event whose mission is to showcase snow sculpture and the talents of sculptors from here and elsewhere, while celebrating the winter pleasures offered by the Chaudière-Appalaches region. On this occasion, the Parc des Trois-Bérets is transformed into an open-air art gallery where ephemeral works are produced and exhibited. In addition, this creative immersion taking place over four days offers a multitude of activities resulting from a program devoted to the arts and local heritage: musical shows, family, cultural and sports activities, fireworks, youth workshops, etc.
Sculpture biennial
Every two years, under a specific theme, the Saint-Jean-Port-Joli Sculpture Biennale offers many activities, such as pop-events and the arts and crafts market. At the same time, the witnesses are immersed in the creative process of the guest artist duets, and attend the gathering of the artistic community of the region.
Sea song festival
In the days of the sailing navy, the main function of the sailor's song was to punctuate the work of the sailors and coordinate the efforts of the crew (songs to hoist, songs to pump, songs to swim or row, songs to haul, etc.). A sailor's song can also be a pleasure song. Coming from an environment that was once a prolific cradle of coastal sailors or fishermen, the Sea song festival offers its audience performances that celebrate the St.Lawrence, its islands, its sailors, as well as the history and the maritime heritage of the Côte-du-Sud.
Summer concerts at Parc Chanoine-Fleury
The Summer Concerts at Parc Chanoine-Fleury are a series of five free outdoor concerts on Sunday afternoons. These performances are given at the Marcellin-Leclerc bandstand in the heart of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, behind the tourist office. If it rains, concerts will take place at the Centre socioculturel Gérard-Ouellet.
